The 19-year-old was found dead by police under the Burnett River bridge clutching herpurse strap about 10.30pm (AEST), the apparent victim of a vicious robbery.

A post-mortem examination yesterday confirmed she was assaulted and died from headand spinal injuries after falling 10 metres.

Detective Inspector JEFF OLIPHANT says police will continue interviewing people andare still seeking a man wanted for questioning over Ms STUTTLE'S death.

He's described as caucasian, 173cm, of solid build, with collar-length brown hair anda fair complexion.

The man was seen walking behind Ms STUTTLE as she crossed the bridge on Wednesday night.

Ms STUTTLE, who had been in Australia for two months, had planned a career in forensicmedicine after her trip.
